Richard Meaney is a retired Lieutenant Colonel from the United States Army.  After a 20 year career, including tours of duty in Iraq and Bosnia, he and his family moved to Goffstown in 2009.  Richard's wife works as a nurse at Catholic Medical Center.  Two of their children attend Goffstown High School and one attends Maple Avenue Elementary School.

Why I am running for Planning Board:

"The Goffstown Planning Board makes decisions when a business wants to expand its facilities, hours of operation, or scope of services.  The Planning Board makes decisions when businesses want to move to Goffstown. 

I ask that you vote for me on March 8th because I will be a "YES VOTE" on the Planning Board for new businesses that want to move to Goffstown or existing businesses that want to grow.  I want to vote YES FOR BUSINESS in order to expand Goffstown's commercial tax base (thus lowering the share of taxes paid by homeowners) and to increase the job opportunities for the residents of Goffstown.  It's that simple: I want to help bring more business to town in order to increase jobs and lower residential property taxes."
