TWO
SIDES TO EVERY STORY

Dear
Fellow Taxpayers,
Remember, there are always two sides to every story...
What Keith Allard, Chairman of the Goffstown School Board, speaks about in the January 15, 2009
edition of the Goffstown News is very misleading.
Things are not always as they appear...
The School Board has a legal obligation to provide accurate, timely and understandable information to the Budget Committee.
In my opinion that did not happen this year.
The Budget Committee is a vital part of our town government.
It consists of your fellow taxpayers, all of whom volunteer for
you, the taxpayer. Like you, we also reside here in Goffstown
and are faced with the same challenges that you face on a daily basis when it comes to our town government.
We come from all walks of life; some new to the committee and some who have served on the committee in previous years.
I am very disappointed with Mr. Allard's disrespectful
comments last week, especially in light of his very own words at the December 16, 2008 Budget Committee
Meeting, when he stated that, "The School Board will take the high
road." His belittling statements will do nothing to build trust
or respect.
I hope Mr. Allard has not lost sight of why we all serve our town in each of our capacities.
It's OUR town that we are all so concerned about.
I encourage everyone to attend the upcoming Town and School Deliberative
Sessions (February 2nd for the School portion, and and February 4th for the Town) at the Goffstown High School.
Thank you for your support, and I hope to see you at the Deliberative
Sessions.
