The 32nd Toyota Eastern Fishing and Outdoor Exposition is being held from February 7 through
10, 2008 at the Worcester DCU Center in Worcester, Massachusetts. From open water to forest and field, experts are coming to present highly informative seminars. The list of presenters is unprecedented and sportsmen and women will certainly find help with any outdoor interests. Here’s the list:
Terry Scroggins, appearing for the first time, is the leading money winner on the bass tournament circuit and stands 4th out of 108 anglers in the 2007 Toyota Tundra BassMaster Angler of the Year. Terry is a four-time qualifier for the BassMaster Classic, finishing in the money 56 out of 81 tournaments entered, with earnings now approaching $1 million. He’ll appear on Friday and Saturday February 8 and 9.
Presenting daily at the Expo, is Ish Monroe, nine-year professional bass angler currently ranked 23rd in the world by BassFan.com. He has 12 top ten finishes and has earned more than half a million dollars on the tournament trail. Sponsored by Daiwa, Ish will give talks at the Bass Tank.
Running long-time favorites also making presentations are: Mike Laptew, "The Diving Fisherman", with the first-ever high-definition underwater video of game fish. Also, saltwater fishing experts Blaine Anderson, Frank Daignault and Dave Pickering will be on hand. The father and son team of Joe and Steve Lucarelli (bass fishing experts from New Hampshire) and freshwater fishing guru, Dr. Hal Lyon, join the line-up. Many of the professionals will conduct demonstrations at the Gary Haines’s "Travelin’ Fish Tank, where you’ll be able to see, first-hand, the techniques used by these angler champions.
Hunters won’t be short changed, either. Presenting deer hunting seminars on Friday and Saturday, will be Tim Andrus, Realtree television star. Sponsored by the Kittery Trading Post,
Andrus has appeared on ESPN, the Outdoor Channel, and is featured on Realtree’s
"Monster Buck" series.
A popular contributor to Outdoor Life Magazine, Steve Hickoff will ‘Talk Turkey’ on Friday and Saturday, sharing his expertise on hunting these wiley game birds.
Back by popular demand, Peter Fiduccia, the "Deer Doctor", will again share his extensive expertise on deer hunting. He is the author of the best selling book, "Whitetail Strategies" and host of the syndicated television show, "Woods and Water". Also returning is the Benoit Family, New England’s premier deer hunting family known for their incredible success at harvesting big bucks.
Maine Master Guide and creator of the Banjo Minnow, probably the biggest selling fishing lure of all time, legendary Wayne Hockmeyer, will speak on bass fishing and on deer hunting. For the past 30 years, Hockmeyer has lived in the woods six weeks each season, hunting, tracking and learning the ways of whitetail deer. He throws out some traditional hunting concepts and presents fascinating facts.
