Prepare Now To Attend A Great Show
Now is the time for sportsmen and women to mark the date on your calendars and prepare to attend one of the finest outdoor shows in all of New England. The 34th annual Eastern Fishing & Outdoor Exposition opens on Thursday, February 11 through Sunday, February 14th at the DCU Center, in Worcester, Massachusetts. Hunters, fishing enthusiasts and other outdoor recreational folks will find everything they need. More than 350 exhibitors will fill the DCU Center to showcase everything from fishing tackle to hunting gear and equipment to boats, motors and much more.
“The Eastern Fishing & Outdoor Exposition offers so many things to do under one roof,” said Jonathan Sauers, the show’s director. “Whether you have enjoyed the outdoors your whole life or you are just getting started, you will find row after row of exciting exhibits and activities.” According to Sauers, this year’s show offers many more exciting features like The Bass Fishing Academy. The Academy will be held on Friday, February 12th, from 1:00 to 5:30 p.m. Other features will include “Fetch-N-Fish” and the Nikon Wildlife Viewing and ID Center.
At “Fetch-N-Fish”, Jason and Teresa Reynolds will showcase their 40 foot, 4,000 gallon mobile fish tank loaded with monster bass. They present both educational and entertaining programs on better bass fishing and water dog jumping and retrieving. The Nikon Wildlife Viewing ID Center gives visitors a chance to use Nikon instruments and identify native wildlife that is hidden in a wilderness scene. On Sunday, Family Day, there will be prizes for kids who correctly identify the animals.
Other great features of the show include Talons, A Bird of Prey Experience sure to delight the entire family; the Archery Range, Trout Pond, the Mass. Rifle Team Air Rifle Range and a giant rock climbing wall from Vertical Dreams.
Hunting seminars will be of great interest to all levels of hunters. World famous archer, Chuck Adams, will host seminars on Saturday and Sunday. The team from Deer City USA, host Steve Gruber, Mark Millis and Tim Andrus will present seminars on suburban deer hunting. Also, author and turkey guru, Steve Hickoff, will speak on Saturday about getting that elusive spring gobbler and how to get a grand slam on a budget.
From hardcore sportsmen and women to families simply looking for a day of fun, the Eastern Fishing & Outdoor Exposition offers many aisles of smiles. In addition, show goers will want to register for an impressive line-up of prizes. The Expo’s Grand Prize this year is a fishing trip to the Zancudo Lodge in Costa Rica.
