School board can override chairman

To the Editor:

I though you would be interested in viewing the video from the last school board meeting.  In the amount of time it took the chairman to look up the policy regarding public comment, my comment would have been made with time to spare.

I think the chairman is disingenuous about being concerned with time.

If the other members of the school board do not agree with the chairman's decision to close public comment early, one of you can simply make a motion to allow public comment to remain open.  Another member will need to second it and a quick vote can be taken.

Your chairman is not the boss.  He is simply one vote out of many.  Do not let his demeanor or emotional attachment to the superintendent's job performance hijack the board.  He is making you all look very un-American.

I will continue to publicly criticize the job performances of district employees.  I truly care that the schools in Goffstown be improved in an ethical way.  I will continue to participate in my town, in this manner, until a code of acceptable ethics returns to the Goffstown School District.  What currently exists is not acceptable.

If the superintendent, or the chairman, who obviously disagree with me and the majority of people in this town that there is a problem with the ethical standards of the current administration at Mountain View Middle School, would like to participate in a public debate about the issues, I would be happy to debate on GTV.
