To the Editor:

The election is over and the people have spoken. I want to thank all of you who offered me words of encouragement and supported my recent run for School Committee and I congratulate the winners in the School Committee race and all the other individuals who won their respective races. It was a heated run and many ideas and points were made.

That is all past us now and we must look forward to the future. I trust the newly elected and reelected Town leaders will take the message the voters sent to heart and work to keep our taxes low and make Goffstown an even better place to live in 2011-12. 

In closing, I call to mind the words General Douglas McArthur said many years ago, “…I shall return….”
