Five teens injured in crash

GOFFSTOWN -
A local man remains hospitalized this morning in critical condition after a two-car crash last night injured him and four other teenagers.

Casey Piper, 19, was first taken by ambulance to Catholic Medical Center and then transferred to Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston. His condition remains critical, according to hospital
spokesman Liz Smallcomb.

Police said Piper was driving an SUV west on Normand Road just after 6 p.m. when he ran a stop sign at the intersection of Wallace Road. His SUV hit another vehicle driven by Alyssa Chani, 16, also of Goffstown, who was traveling south on Wallace Road.

Chani was treated at the scene for minor injuries.

Three of her passengers were also injured: Christopher Ricci and Nicholas Fischer, both 18 and from Goffstown, and Chelsea Guevin, 19, of Weare.
