MANCHESTER –
An Arkansas man was arrested in Manchester Saturday following an alleged drunken driving accident.
Police said Domenick Yezzi, 59, of North Little Rock, Ark., was driving north on Elm Street around 8:30 p.m. Saturday when he tried to make a U-turn. A motorcycle was traveling behind Yezzi at the time and slammed into his car. The accident was so severe, the motorcycle was left in a twisted pile of metal lodged into the car door.
The motorcyclist, Christopher Welcome, 26, of Goffstown, was ejected from the motorcycle, suffering serious, life-threatening injuries. He was transported to Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, where he remains in critical condition.
Yezzi was given a sobriety test at the scene and arrested for Aggravated OUI. Police continue to investigate the crash.
