Goffstown man, 76, dies in pool
GOFFSTOWN - A 76-year-old Goffstown man died in a pool yesterday while a family gathering was taking place, police said last night.
Police were called to 71 Armand Avenue in Manchester about 8:30 p.m., said Lt. Peter Favreau. Police identified the man who died as Bobby Barrett, 76, of Goffstown.
Nothing suggests that the death was suspicious, police said last night, and an assistant New Hampshire medical examiner was on the scene late into the evening.
No ruling has been made about how the man died.
"At the point, it appears as if it is accidental," Favreau said.
