Fire
damages apartment building
GOFFSTOWN
- Goffstown firefighters were called to the scene of a 2-alarm fire this morning
that damaged an apartment building.
The fire started around 4:30 a.m. at an apartment building at 8 Pleasant Street. The flames started in the building's basement and the first floor did sustain damage. Fire crews from several communities were called in to help battle the blaze.
Pleasant Street, also known as Route 13 South, was shut down to traffic Friday morning as crews worked at the scene.
The first floor sustained substantial damage. The
were no injuries.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
