GOFFSTOWN - The Executive Council will hear from the public Friday on the nomination of Michael Ryan, of Goffstown, to a full-time judgeship in Nashua District Court.

Ryan has served since 1999 as a part-time judge and heard cases in Nashua and at other district courts across the state. Currently, he presides over family court cases at Derry District Court.

The public hearing on Gov. John Lynch's nomination begins at 2 p.m. in the Executive Council chambers.

A hearing on Lynch's nomination of John Emery, of Bedford, to a similar judgeship in Manchester District Court is set for Friday afternoon at 1.
