Selectmen Study Options for Intersection
Plans
for Wallace Road and South Mast Street Studied
By JILLIAN JORGENSEN
GOFFSTOWN
- On Monday night, the Goffstown Board of Selectmen
discussed the best way to remedy what town administrator
Sue Desruisseaux called the “failed intersection” at Wallace Road and South Mast Street.
Earlier in the day, a juvenile female pedestrian was struck by a vehicle at the intersection just hours before the
meeting (click

Selectmen received a “decision matrix” with three options: adding signals to the intersection, a single-lane roundabout, and a roundabout with a spur lane.
An option will be chosen and then public hearings will be held, Gross said.
Gross said he hoped that whatever option is chosen could be incorporated into the town’s plans for 2010.
“Will it get pushed off to 2011? Anything is possible due to economic conditions,” he said.
