GRA polls show
some interesting trends
GOFFSTOWN - In April of this year, the Goffstown
Residents Association added a weekly poll to its website
in search of input from residents on a variety of topics
and issues.
So far, the results of these polls are showing some
interesting trends....
Schools: |
|
75% of residents rated the
quality of education in Goffstown as only fair or average; |
|
82% of residents want the school
board to move its meetings to another night of the week so as not to
conflict with meetings of the board of selectmen. |
|
|
DPW: |
|
77% of residents were against
spending an additional $98,000 to add the granite curbs and cobblestone to
the Grasmere roundabout; |
|
82% of residents want monies for
paving Snook, Tenney and Willow Pond roads to be used to repair damage to
Goffstown's existing roads instead; |
|
The town's deteriorating roads
rank second among Goffstown's most important issues. |
The top
concern among residents, not surprisingly, is the issue of
rising property taxes, yet 85% of them rate the
performance of the new board of selectmen as good, very
good or excellent.
The GRA will continue to poll residents on topics and
issues every Friday throughout the year. We welcome
your suggestions for our future polls. To submit
your idea, please send an email to GRA@goffstownresidentsassociation.com
