August 3, 2007 Town
ethics policy committee is formed
GOFFSTOWN
- At their meeting of July 30, 2007, the Goffstown
Board of Selectmen accepted applications from five local
residents as volunteers to form the Ethics Policy
Development Committee.
Members of the new committee are Allen Beaulieu,
Benjamin Hampton, Michael Lawler, Tom Linehan and Dan
Reidy.
The committee is being formed by selectmen with the
intent of giving citizens more input into the ethics of
town officials. Selectmen stressed that the
catalyst for the formation of the committee is based on
future potential concerns, and not current ones.
The committee will meet with selectmen as they study the
ethics policies of other New Hampshire cities and towns,
and work towards developing guidelines for Goffstown.
The first meeting of the committee will be held in one
to two weeks, depending on member availability.
