Police Search Ends in Arrest
GOFFSTOWN - A man who police were searching for in Goffstown on Tuesday night, and who they believed was armed with a gun, was arrested at a Manchester home after 7 p.m.
Police were called to a residence on Church Street at about 4 p.m. on a report of a dispute between a man and a woman.
Police said that Joseph Nolin, 36, of Goffstown, fired a shot during the dispute and fled after the woman ran to a neighbor's home to call 911.
Details of the charges against Nolin were not immediately available. Police did not say if Nolin was armed when he was arrested or what his relationship was with the woman involved in the dispute.
He is charged with attempted first-degree assault, criminal threatening, and reckless conduct.
Police from Goffstown and Manchester were joined by state police and the county sheriff in the search for Nolin. A helicopter was also being used.
Police said they did not believe that people who lived in the search area were in danger.
